Travel to Ghent
By Air
Ghent is close to three international airports. From each airport there are bus and train services to Ghent. Most regular airline services are offered via Brussels International Airport.
- Brussels International Airport (Zaventem)
- Antwerp International Airport (e.g. from London City)
- Charleroi Brussels South International Airport
By Train
If you take an international train to Belgium (Eurostar or Thalys) you will most likely arrive at Bussels South train station. From there on take the national train to Ghent.
When arriving via airplane at Brussels Airport, just go to the lowest level (-1) since the railway station is below street level. You can buy your train ticket to Ghent ("Gent") at the desk.

Lodging
- Hotels: Ghent has a wealth good hotels (click here for an overview of all hotels and to book online).
- B&B: Course participants who prefer to stay in a B&B can have a look at "Ghent Website".
- Youthhostel: Ghent also has youth hostelling opportunities. You can stay in youth hostel ‘De Dracke’ (Sint-Widostraat 11; walking distance to the course venue is 700m) for about € 20-25 per person per night depending on your age. You will need to have a Hostelling International Membership Card which you can buy in your home country.
