João Filho
In 2022, João acquired a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from Fluminense Federal University (Brazil) and NOVA University Lisbon (Portugal). His research focused on the material characterization of complex soft composites using Digital Image Correlation (DIC) and development of 2D- and 3D-DIC systems, including hardware and software. João also has experience with experimental solid mechanics, fracture mechanics and hyperelastic materials. Currently, João holds the position of Control and Hardware Integration Engineer at MatchID.
In his spare time, João likes to spend time with his family at home, cook some Brazilian food and play tennis.
